About Us
Hukanui Golf Club Established in April 1935 located 5 minutes north of Gordonton at 1550 Gordonton Road, RD 1, Taupiri 3791. The club has been a cornerstone for golf enthusiasts in the community for decades.

Our 9-fairway & green course is designed to test golfers of all skill levels. The course has a country feel boasting tree-lined mown fairways, strategic bunkers, and manicured greens, providing an engaging and challenging golfing experience. With a beautiful landscape, great vistas to the north from ‘Hilltop’, and meticulously maintained grounds, Hukanui offers a unique golfing experience.
The course is set up as an 18-hole course with separate tee blocks for 1-9 and 10-18, ideal for seasoned golfers looking for a more challenging and rewarding experience. Each hole is designed with its unique challenges, offering an engaging and diverse golfing experience.

Not limited to just traditional golf, our club also hosts a full 18 hole Footgolf course. A fun and engaging sport that combines elements of soccer and golf. This game is a fantastic way to enjoy our beautiful course from a different perspective.

Hukanui Golf Club prides itself on inclusivity. Our ladies golf program offers women of all skill levels the opportunity to play, learn, and socialize in a supportive and fun environment. We believe in making golf accessible to everyone and fostering a community of passionate golfers.

We also have a high regard for veterans and being a slightly shorter course this suits most veterans game and what they get out of it.

In addition to course activities, Hukanui Golf Club is also a prime location for events and functions. From corporate events, weddings to hosting tournaments and competitions, our club offers beautiful surroundings and professional event management services to make any occasion special.

Green fee checks are carried randomly.
The course is usually always open for play* - if the office is closed there is an EFTPOS & Cash Honesty Box located outside the main office for non-Hukanui affiliated, green fee, and Footgolf players to pay their green fees. If the clubhouse is open please pay at the bar. We do not accept paywave or credit card payments.

*Please note that if anyone who wishes to play on the course on Saturdays and not register in the scramble or competition of the day they cannot start before 1:30pm. Earlier starting may be possible but due to competition players still potentially playing their 1st 9 this is strictly at the discretion of the Duty Manager. This also applies on the Ladies Day on Tuesdays until 11.00am.

Note: Please do not be offended if you are asked by staff or club officials to provide proof of correct green fee payment, or a valid membership. If this is not provided you may be instructed to leave, pay the applicable fees, or we reserve the right to issued you with a legal Trespass Notice and the Police will be formally notified.
